Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

On the product page you choose your set (1, 3, 6 or 9 magnets), click “Upload images” and select your photos — straight from your phone or your computer. Then you add the magnets to the cart and complete the order. Done.

Yes. Every magnet gets its own photo. You can also order the same photo several times — for example if all the grandparents are to get the same picture.

With the set of 9 you get nine individual magnets with up to nine different photos. With the magnet puzzle a single photo is split across nine magnets — put together they form a picture of about 15 × 15 cm.

We print exactly the picture you upload. If you want text, a date or a logo on the magnet, design the picture beforehand — for example with a free app such as Canva — and upload the finished file as a square. For company logos and larger quantities, our bulk order page is the best route.

We start production quickly so that your magnets are ready to ship within 24 hours. So write to us as soon as possible at hallo@magneticmoments.de with your order number — as long as we haven’t printed yet, we’re happy to swap the photo.

Almost any phone photo will do. We recommend a resolution of at least 500 × 500 pixels. Make sure the subject is well lit and not too dark — at 5 × 5 cm, bright pictures with plenty of contrast work best. Screenshots and pictures forwarded through chat apps are often heavily compressed and can look blurry.

The magnets are square, so the picture is cropped to 1:1. Make sure the most important part — faces, for example — sits in the middle. If you want to decide the crop yourself, crop the photo to a square in your photo app first.

Each magnet is 5 × 5 cm, weighs about 20 g and has a strong magnet on the back. It holds securely on fridges, magnetic boards and whiteboards. One note: some stainless-steel fridges aren’t magnetic — a quick test with any magnet will tell you.

We make every magnet by hand in Metzingen (Baden-Württemberg): your photo is printed in high resolution on premium photo paper. A Mylar film goes on top and a metal plate underneath; the two are folded into each other at the edges, holding the photo paper between them. The whole thing sits on a plastic panel, and the magnet goes on the back last.

Your order is ready to ship within 24 hours. Delivery with Deutsche Post usually takes 2–4 working days. With DHL shipping you also get tracking.

Within Germany, standard shipping with Deutsche Post costs €2.49 and DHL shipping with tracking €4.49. Abroad we ship with DHL Warenpost International Premium including tracking. The cost depends on the weight of your order and starts at €7.95 to the EU. You will see the exact amount at checkout. You’ll find all the details in our shipping information.

Yes. Just enter a different delivery address at checkout — the magnets will go straight there.

Yes. We deliver to Austria, to all other EU countries and to Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Iceland and Türkiye. Shipping costs depend on the weight of your order – from €7.95 to the EU and from €9.95 to Switzerland and Türkiye. For deliveries outside the EU, import duties may apply and are paid by the recipient. We currently do not ship to the United Kingdom.

Your photos are used solely to make your magnets and are deleted once your order has shipped. We don’t pass them on and we don’t use them for advertising — unless you expressly allow us to when ordering.

Because every magnet is made individually with your photo, the statutory right of withdrawal for personalised goods does not apply. But if something arrives damaged or a printing error has occurred, send us a photo at hallo@magneticmoments.de — we’ll take care of it.

Yes. There are tiered prices for larger quantities — just send us a request via the bulk order page. Photo magnets are popular as wedding favours, for companies and teams or as a farewell gift at nursery and school.

Yes. We only show reviews from customers who ordered one of our photo magnet products in this shop. Anyone who agreed to receive emails from us when ordering gets a review request after delivery; you can also leave a review through a review link or QR code you received from us. Reviews that can be matched to an order are marked as a “Verified purchase”. We show reviews of the 5×5 photo magnets and of the magnet puzzle together, because both are made from the same material in the same process.

No. We don’t filter reviews by rating. We only remove posts with insulting, unlawful or promotional content, or ones that clearly don’t relate to the product. We give nothing in return for a review — no discount and no voucher.
