After every holiday, pick one picture and have it mounted. A few years on, the fridge door carries a map only you can read – and every time somebody fetches the milk, they stop in front of it. A single magnet costs €3, less than the postcard that never arrives anyway.

A souvenir nobody throws away

For the neighbours who fed the cat, or the friends who came along: a magnet with a photo they are in themselves. It costs less than the usual airport trinket and doesn't end up in a drawer. For a travel group, a set of 6 or 9 works well – one for everybody.
